Did you know that women political leaders in Scottsdale were key supporters of the Preserve movement? Did you know that women owned eleven mining claims in the Dixie Mining district? Or that a woman owned the DC cattle brand? Or that officer’s wives from Fort McDowell used to take recreational horseback rides to Frazier Spring accompanied by young bachelor officers?
