Bird Walk at Quartz Trailhead

Location: Quartz Trailhead – SW corner of McDowell Mountain Ranch Rd. and 104th St.

Skill level: Easy

Time: ~2 hours

Join us on this easy walk over a rocky trail. In addition to seeing our year-round bird residents, we may see some migrants passing through. Possible sightings include phainopepla, American kestrel, gilded flicker, curve-billed thrasher, Abert’s towhee, or various warblers. Bring your binoculars. The Quartz Trailhead parking lot is located at McDowell Mountain Ranch Rd & 104th St. No bathrooms at trailhead.

The difficulty of hikes varies. Please choose hikes that match your fitness level. Bring Water and snacks for the trail. Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the hike.
