Tails on the Trails: Taking Your Dog on the Trail (Family)
December 9 @ 1:45 pm - 4:00 pm
Your dog loves to hike and so do you! Learn some specific tips to make the hike fun for both the dog and person the dog brings along. You will learn the answer to questions such as: How much water does my dog need on a hike? Why does the dog need to be on a leash? What can I do if we meet another dog on the trail? How far can my dog hike? This is an opportunity for you to learn without your dog, so that you will look really smart when you take your dog on its next hike. Dogs like smart people! Plan on spending up to 2 hours learning how to help everyone enjoy having the dog on the hike. No dogs are allowed on this hike except the ones belonging to the presenters. Allow 2 hours for this 3-mile round-trip hike with minimal elevation change. Bring water, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes for safe hiking. This hike is for ages 6+, and all children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. 1:45 PM at Lost Dog Wash Trailhead
