What happens when an Apache band decides to kill a particular individual as an act of retribution? Following Apache footprints across burnt-over terrain, Lt Howard Cushing, met his fate with history in May 1871. Archeologist, Deni Seymour, was able to identify the exact location of the event and will describe how the ambush of US troops by Chiricahua Apache chief Juh, contrary to common belief, was intentionally orchestrated as a military tactic rather than an accidental confrontation.
