Lecture – Preservation Techniques at Pioneer and Military Memorial Park Cemetery in Phoenix

As the resting place and memorial for many of those who helped establish our region, the Pioneer and Military Memorial Park Cemetery in Phoenix is an important key to our history. The preservation and maintenance of the site involves a lot more than simply cleaning grave markers. What works for a cemetery in a coastal town like Portland (Maine) is not the same as what works for a cemetery in central Arizona. How do we adapt preservation techniques from one area to the next? This presentation will share a little bit of the background on the preservation work done at this significant location.
