Family Hike – Native American Storytelling
January 14 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Why do birds sing, yet butterflies are silent? Why is a coyote brown? Why does a rattlesnake have fangs? Where do stars in the Milky Way come from? Let your imagination soar as you hear Pima and Papago stories about following directions, keeping promises, and dealing with bullies. Take home a special keepsake. Bring water, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes for safe hiking. This hike is for ages 6+ and all children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Distance: 1.7 miles. Elevation gain: Minimal. Duration: 1.5 hours. Arrival time: 1:45 pm. Location: Gateway Trailhead.
Native American Storytelling is a Family Hike sponsored by Conservancy Women.
