Years ago... our community envisioned setting aside one-third of our city as open space through the creation of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

Through our partnership with the City of Scottsdale, we have successfully created the largest urban Preserve in the nation, a significant area of natural wildlife and desert flora, with more than 100 miles of trails in the Preserve open to hikers, bicyclists and equestrians.
