Candidates' Forum:  The Future of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve

Wednesday, July 16, 7  P.M.

Granite Reef Senior Center

1700 N. Granite Reef

Scottsdale, AZ 85257

Join your fellow stewards, friends and neighbors at the Granite Reef Senior Center for an exciting conversation about the future of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.  This will be a great way to inform yourselves on a vital city issue.

MSC is sponsoring and hosting this forum in keeping with our mission.  Since its’ founding in 1990, the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy has championed the need for, establishment of and safe public access to Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve.  Our vision, as Scottsdale’s primary partner in the Preserve, is to fully integrate the community in a completed and well cared- for Preserve, educate residents and visitors about the Preserve’s environmental and archaeological significance, and ensure that this and all future generations have  appropriate access to this natural open space. It is our goal to secure for future generations their unique environmental and archaeological heritage.

Immediately afterward there will be refreshments and an audience-candidates’ mixer.
